HIYA!
I hope you all had a great week this week!
First of all I'm staying in Dundee! :D And Sister Reed is still my companion! Yay
Secondly,
I get to see Elder Holland! He's coming next week to Edinburgh and is
giving a devotional for all the missionaries!!!! SO COOL! He'll be here
on the 6th! :DDD
It
has been a good week though. We've had a lot of blessings. We saw one
of our investigators that has been trying to get off the drugs but we
lost contact with him cuz his mom said he was back on them and she
kicked him out. But we ran into him at a bus stop in this crazy city!
And we were actually super late for an appointment with his mum, but if
we hadn't been late we wouldn't have seen him. Not to mention I've never
seen his eyes so clear, usually they're pretty glazed over. So that was
cool. AND! There is a charity shop here in the Wellgate (which is
basically just a mall) that's for deaf people! It's called Deaf Hub. Not
sure why, but Sister Reed and I are totally volunteering there and are
going to meet some awesome deaf people and I'm so excited!!
I've
been studying 2 Nephi 3 which testifies about the BoM and Joseph Smith
because one of recent converts has had a lot of questions and some
doubts about those two things and reading that chapter has strengthened
my testimony of them. I testify that if you want to know if this gospel
is true, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph
Smith was a prophet study the BoM. I read something that says we should
start study with a prayer. write down questions and choose a specific
block of scriptures to read then answer the questions as you read. Pray
again and ask God to help you understand more deeply the things He wants
you to know and then read that block of scripture again, revise answers
and then pray at the end to know if it's true. My mind was blown when I
read that! Because study truly needs to be us communicating with God
frequently. I have loved doing this and I find myself understanding more
and feeling the spirit more in my study. I love the Book of Mormon and
this gospel and I testify that it bring us everlasting happiness.
Have a good week all!
love, Sister McBride
